Formed in 2004, Advanced Grower Solutions (AGS) was started to develop industry specific software solutions for the wholesale nursery and greenhouse market.
In 2005, AGS acquired Doane Software, an established vertical market software development team based in Portland, Oregon. Doane’s software business represented nearly two decades of application development focused exclusively on agri-business. Doane’s applications included Payroll, Financial and Enterprise Costing for large agricultural employers, Inventory and Sales Order Management for small to medium wholesale nurseries.
AGS went on to produce GrowPoint, a full featured grower ERP software.
AGS, through its introduction of Growpoint, supplies software applications for inventory and sales order management, EDI, availability, picking, production management, payroll, costing and accounting, reporting, invoicing and much more.
AGS also introduced an industry leading in-store inventory solution with our Direct to Store software solution specially designed for vendor managed inventory or pay-by-scan vendors. We support solutions for sales and inventory analytics, managing in store inventory, replenishment and merchandising teams through our DTS/Merch solution.
AGS has also introduced GrowerOnline, an online availability publishing and ordering platform for Growers to help growers improve the efficiency and sales reach of their availability.
AGS then introduced a new concierge EDI product called GrowerEDI which helps connect growers with their trading partners and facilitate automated data transfers for key information like EDI 850 purchase orders, EDI 852 inventory and sales summary and EDI 856 Advanced ship notifications among many others.
AGS subsequently created a consulting arm to provide strategic, operational and technical/IT and data consulting to our growers.
